The front terminal battery and telecom-grade front terminal valve-regulated lead-acid battery have a long and narrow shape design. The single unit is a 2×3 structure. The large surface of the electrode plate is parallel to the shell and faces outward, which is good for the front terminal battery.



Standardized size

The front terminal battery has the same maximum size as the telecom-grade front-terminal valve-regulated lead-acid battery, and is specially designed for 19-inch (FTB) and 23-inch (FTA) power cabinets. Generally, 4 pieces form a 48 V battery pack. Both the positive and negative terminals are located at the front of the front terminal battery, which is convenient for installation and maintenance, saving space, and improving the reliability of the system at the same time.



Positive plate structure

The positive plate of the front terminal battery can be made into a paste type or tube type, while the positive plate of a telecommunication-grade front terminal valve-regulated lead-acid battery can only be made into a paste type.



Type of partition

Electrolyte fixing method

The front terminal battery electrolyte is fixed in colloidal form by nano-grade fumed silica, sulfuric acid electrolyte, and various additives, and is liquid when injected, which can fill all the space in the front terminal battery.

The gel electrolyte is in contact with the front terminal battery plate and the battery casing at the same time, which is beneficial to heat conduction. The telecom-grade front-terminal valve-regulated lead-acid battery electrolyte is adsorbed in the porous glass wool separator, and it must be unsaturated. There is a gap between the pole group, the partition board, and the shell, and the heat conduction is blocked.



Electrolyte

The front terminal battery uses gel electrolytes, the electrolyte volume is 10%-15% more than the valve-regulated lead-acid battery design, and the average electrolyte density is 1.27~1.29 g/cm3, which is less corrosive to the electrode plate.

The front terminal battery has a long life. The telecom-grade front-terminal valve-regulated lead-acid battery is a typical lean battery with a small amount of electrolyte. Therefore, the average electrolyte density is as high as 1.30~1.32 g/cm3, which corrodes the electrode plate severely and has short front terminal life.
